Change the location of My Library in MYOB AccountRight

MYOB AccountRight My Library files can be stored in 3 different locations:

  1. My Library – for company files stored on your computer
  2. Online – for company files stored in the cloud
  3. Network Library – for company files stored on another computer in a local network

The default location for MYOB AccountRight My Library if stored locally is C:\Users\<username>\Documents\MYOB

If you would like to change the location of My Library if the files are stored on your computer follow these steps:

  • Select Start and in the Type here to search, type Set library location and select the Set Library Location app or select Open

  • Select Yes if the User Account Control dialog box appears

  • You will now see the Before you begin message that makes sure you have closed all applications including AccountRight and also that the new library location must be local.

    Select OK to continue

  • Select Browse and navigate to the folder you want to use as your new location for AccountRight My Library, then select OK

    Then select Set Location

  • A message appears reminding you that the new library location must be on a local drive, select OK to continue

    NOTE: You can only change the location to a different local drive, not a network drive

  • You should then see a message advising the new location for your AccountRight library has been set, select OK

  • If you haven’t already done so, add your company files to the new library location.
