Renew your Microsoft 365 subscription with a product key

To renew or extend your Microsoft 365 Family or Personal subscription with a product key, follow this guide:

  • Go to and sign in with your Microsoft Account

    This will require your email, phone number or Skype account plus your password

  • Under Payment Settings, select Redeem a card or code

  • You will then be redirected to the Let’s get started page, select Sign in

  • Now you can put in the product key you have be supplied and then select Next

  • You will then need to select Region, then select Next

    NOTE: If you purchased your product key in a different region to what you have selected, due to Microsoft Policies, it might not work

  • You will then be prompted whether you want recurring billing or not, if you want to pay via credit card from now onwards, then leave Recurring Billing on and you will be prompted for your credit card details.

    Otherwise, to renew your Microsoft Subscription with a product key, turn Recurring Billing off.

  • If you have turned Recurring billing off, you then need to select Confirm

  • Select Confirm to complete the renewal of your Microsoft 365 Family or Personal subscription

NOTE: The subscription is added to the expiry date, not from the date you renew it on

NOTE: Also, you can downgrade from a Home to Personal subscription or vice versa
