Importing IMAP Email Autofill/Autocomplete File with Outlook 2010 / 2013 / 2016 / 365

This guide will assist you with adding or Importing the AutoFill / AutoComplete file created from Outlook 2010 / 2013 / 2016 or Outlook 365 account.  This will allow the user to automatically autofill/populate an email address when composing a new email that is being sent to a previous contact.

Please follow the steps below:

Step 1.  Make sure you have closed Outlook

Step 2.  Click on the Windows Start Button which is different depending on the version of Windows.  Windows 7   or Windows 8/8.1/10

Step 3.  Then double click on Computer if using Windows 7.  For Windows 8/8.1 users type Computer and select the Computer tile.  Windows 10 just click on File Explorer which is on the menu bar.

Step 4.  Open Local Disk (C:)

Step 5.  Open the Users folder

Step 6.  Open the folder of the User Account, normally the name of your account.

Step 7.  Open the AppData folder (You must have Admin privileges). The AppData folder is a hidden folder, to see hidden folders please refer to the Windows 7 & 8 – Show Hidden Files and Folders article

Step 8.  Open the Local folder

Step 9.  Open the Microsoft folder

Step 10.  Open the Outlook folder

Step 11.  Open the RoamCache folder

Step 12.  Make a backup of the Stream_Autocomplete… files before you make any changes!

Step 13.  Rename the Stream_Autocomplete…. file in this folder to “oldStreaming_autocomplete…..”

Step 14.  Copy the source file you saved from your other computer or Outlook version into this folder and name it the same name as the original file name from the step above.  Otherwise if you are wanting to copy your autocomplete from a different profile you should see a Stream_Autocomplete… file that is alot larger in size.  Take a copy of that file and rename it to your new Stream_Autocomplete file.
