OneDrive is a handy tool in Windows for saving, syncing, and sharing your documents and other files online, but Microsoft also offers a OneDrive mobile app for your Android SmartPhone or Tablet.
The OneDrive App will let you:
- Download, Share or View any of your OneDrive files
- Upload any Photos or Videos from your device to OneDrive
Follow these steps to install it on your device:
If you are viewing this article from the device, you can click on this link Microsoft OneDrive App to directly go to the Google Play download
Otherwise, on your Android SmartPhone or Tablet, go to Google Play
and type in OneDrive in the search box, then select Install
NOTE: With a lot of Android devices, OneDrive could be already installed and be under your apps
If you are unsure of how to use OneDrive, select TAKE A TOUR which will them prompt you to Turn on camera upload to back up your photos
If you do not already have a backup solution for your Photos or videos, we highly recommend to click on TURN ON which enables this feature
You will then be prompted to Allow OneDrive to access photos, media and files on your device, select Allow
NOTE: If you have a lot of photos, this will take some time to upload them all to OneDrive and also, can use a lot of your download allowance, so be careful enabling this if roaming
If you are unsure of how to use OneDrive, select TAKE A TOUR which will them prompt you to Turn on camera upload to back up your photos
