If you have lost your Chrome bookmarks due to getting a new computer or Windows crashing and you do not use a Gmail account to sync them, then you should be able to recover them from your old hard drive.
Here is the location the bookmarks are normally stored in:
C:\Users\Your Account\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\default
There will be a file there called ‘Bookmarks’, copy this file into the same location on your new computer.
If you have a Google account which you used to synchronize with Chrome all you have to do is the following:
Step 1. Go to the upper right hand part of the chrome browser under the ‘x’ and select the settings menu.
Step 2. From there select “Sign in to Chrome” login with your Google account and your bookmarks should transfer over.
