Set up Microsoft 365 Email account on MacOS with Apple Mail

Here’s how to setup your Microsoft 365 email account with Apple Mail for MacOS.

NOTE: This guide was done in MacOS Mojave (v10.14.6)

  • Click the Apple logo in the upper left corner of your screen, then select System Preferences

  • Select Internet¬†Accounts

  • Select Exchange

  • Type in your Name and your full Microsoft 365 Email address

  • Select Sign in to connect to your Microsoft 365 Email account

  • In the Enter password box, type in your Microsoft 365 Email password and then select Sign in

  • You will then get the Permissions requested information box come up, scroll down and click on Accept

  • You will then be prompted to Select the apps you want to use with this account, then click on Done

  • You have now successfully added your Microsoft 365 Email account and it will appear in the left hand column on the Internet Accounts page.

    Close the system preferences window to complete the setup.

  • Launch Apple Mail and your Microsoft 365 Email inbox will now start to download your emails
