In January 2020, Microsoft have released a new Microsoft Edge based on Chromium and is compatible with all supported versions of Windows, and macOS.
Downloading the browser will replace the legacy version of Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 PCs.
The new Edge browser has improved performance, best in class compatibility for websites and extensions, and built-in privacy and security features.
Follow this guide to update your Microsoft Edge browser
Download the Microsoft Edge update installation file from the Microsoft Edge website
If you are not using Windows 10, click the down arrow to select the version for your operating system, then click on Download
If you are installing the update from the current Microsoft Edge, you will then need to click on Run to continue with the update
Google Chrome – Click on the MicrosoftEdgeSetup.exe which has downloaded bottom left of the browser
Mozilla Firefox – Click on the download arrow top right and you should see the MicrosoftEdgeSetup.exe file which you need to open
You have now successfully updated to the new Microsoft Edge browser
